I was describing Vessel Refillery to a friend recently. He noticed that I didn't use the term Zero Waste in my description. That is on purpose. It would be a simple way to explain what I do, but it makes me uncomfortable. I've preferred to say Low Waste or Package Free because Vessel Refillery does use plastic and produces waste. Did you know that the Live for Tomorrow Laundry Liquid is 8x concentrated? That means less water, less packaging and more loads. These three bottles do 150 loads while that large plastic jug only does 120. LFT Liquid Laundry comes Unscented, Lavender or Rosemary Orange Blossom.
Yesterday was World Water Day. It's a UN initiative to get people talking about the value of water and what that means. Here in Western Canada we don't often need to think about access to clean water. We're lucky to be blessed with snow, glaciers & rainfall. But we're seeing our glaciers melt and much more unpredictable weather. This will threaten our (and the world's) water supply. How do you value water? Photos are of Alsek Lake, Alaska.
I got a few new products in the week! Nelson Naturals toothpaste. I love this stuff, my teeth feel so good after brushing with it. I don't have it available as refills yet, but I'm hoping to in the future. For now I have a variety of flavours to see which are most popular. And there's bamboo toothbrushes online now too. How you tried shampoo & conditioner bars? They are the ultimate low waste product. beYOU for all hair types by Bottle None. Made in Vernon.
